Being a big fan of astronomy I found this Skyquest XT8 intriguing, I bought it mainly for the family which have not had any contact with a telescope before, not taking into consideration my experience I was surprised that no one found it hard to handle, I personally was surprised by the quality over price.
It comes with an eye piece holder, collimation cap, a scope, a second eye piece, and some astrology software for your computer. Even if you are newbie in the world of astronomy and star gazing, this is the perfect telescope to get you started. Both newbies and old veteran fans of astronomy will find that the Orion Skyquest XT8 is a fine piece of equipment that does not disappoint.

Luckily I was able to test the orion xt8 before buying it, During an eclipse I took a quick look at my friend’s telescope, I was so impressed with the image asked him the name of the telescope so I could look it up online. Comparing the skyquest xt8 with the telescope I had at the time, the skyquest xt8 is by FAR Better, I remember paying around 850 dollars for the one I had, the price of the orion xt8 is around 360$.

The image quality the ease of transport are amazing and definitely the strongest points of the orion skyquest xt8. The orion xt8 Is rated with 5 stars and Very few products on Amazon are ever rated 5 out of 5.
What I Didn’t like
There is No doubt this orion xt8 is worth buying, although there is no perfect telescope, at least not yet. Just few days ago I had my friends come over for dinner before going out to raise some hell , Mike soon found the telescope, he’s around 6’5 and found It hard to watch because the tripod is just not tall enough for him.
So Far this was the only problem I found with this Telescope.
